About The Position

Cleartelligence is a Data and AI consultancy that partners with enterprise clients to envision, design, and implement solutions that solve complex business challenges and accelerate value creation through data-driven insights. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Practice Director to lead and grow our Data Management consulting practice. In this role, you will shape and execute the vision and strategy for the practice, develop and mentor team members, oversee staffing and hiring, drive business development, lead strategic client engagements, and champion thought leadership. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with deep expertise in data management, a passion for developing people, and a demonstrated ability to deliver impactful, cross-industry data solutions. This is a People Manager role reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in data management, data engineering, or related fields.
  • Proven ability to deliver solutions involving AI
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and complex delivery programs.
  • 5+ years of Databricks and Snowflake experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong background in solution architecture and consulting.
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience driving business growth and operational improvements.
  • Proven abilities in leadership and practice oversight, showcasing the capacity to inspire, encourage, and cultivate top tier teams.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering Data Management consulting projects for diverse clients across industries
  • Strong programming and development expertise in designing, building, deploying, testing, maintaining, and monitoring scalable and resilient large scale data pipelines using Databricks & Snowflake
  • Proven track record of building real-time analytics solutions and maintain data ingestion transformation and processing infrastructure using the Databricks and Snowflake platforms
  • Proven track record in data processing, data modeling, security and governance, monitoring and logging, and testing and deployment ---performance tuning and troubleshooting of data pipelines ensuring data quality and accuracy
  • Strong knowledge in structured and unstructured data
  • Proficiency in cloud networking and security principles.
  • Knowledge of batch and streaming data processing techniques
  • Understanding of the Data Lifecycle Management processes to collect, access, use, store, transfer, delete data

Nice To Haves

  • Databricks and Snowflake certification a plus
  • Experience with Vercel, Sigma and Anthropic a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-performing team of 20-30 consultants globally capable (mostly in the U.S. and India).
  • Lead all hiring decisions for the practice, including FTEs, backfills, and contractors.
  • Evolve the vision for the Data Management practice, ensuring alignment with company growth plans, market trends, and portfolio strategies.
  • Define how the practice will innovate and adapt to emerging technologies and client needs.
  • Make final decisions on staffing assignments across client engagements.
  • Own practice metrics related to utilization, delivery quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies across client engagements led by your team.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on complex Data Management problems and solutions.
  • Continuously assess and improve processes, methodologies, and tools with a particular focus on reusable frameworks and automation.
  • Play a leading role in strategic client engagements, driving architecture design, data governance initiatives, technology selection, and roadmap development for high-priority accounts.
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Drive account growth by delivering exceptional work and building trusted, advisory-level client relationships.
  • Partner with Portfolio Leaders and Account Teams to identify opportunities for growth within existing and new clients.
  • Contribute to proposal development, solution design, and strategic account planning.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key technology partners (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake) to keep your team current on emerging capabilities and drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships.
  • Provide thought leadership in data management disciplines such as data governance, architecture, integration, and analytics.
  • Represent the company at industry events, client forums, and through published content.
  • Contribute to shaping the company’s perspective on how data enables business transformation.
