A Prophix Data Integration Engineer enables seamless, automated connections between client data sources and the Prophix platform. Working on the Professional Services team and with Consultants, this role focuses on integrating, exploring, and optimizing customer data to support critical business solutions. The position plays a key role in helping customers transition from on-premise environments to cloud-based systems, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient data flows. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is at the forefront of this cloud transformation, and a critical piece of this puzzle is data. Leveraging strong technical expertise, the engineer designs and builds reliable data integrations across cloud and on-premise systems, including real-time interfaces. They contribute to integration strategy and architecture while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to deliver effective solutions. This role requires a strong foundation in data systems, cloud technologies, have a background in Windows and/or SQL Server, and API best practices to support enterprise-level data connectivity. A successful candidate will bring fresh ideas on things like information retrieval, large-scale data design, networking and data storage, and security.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related experience in software design and development
  • 3-5 or more years working with integration of data across disparate platforms and applications;
  • Demonstrated experience creating reusable, standard APIs for real-time integration
  • Fluent in RESTFul web services using JSON
  • Experience with scripting languages, JavaScript is preferred.
  • Experienced in interfacing data between a mix of Cloud and on Prem applications and data stores
  • Familiar with Java, Python, SQL or SOQL
  • Must be legally entitled to work in the country where the role is located. Must be able to travel to the United States, Canada and/or internationally, and have a valid passport.
  • Comfort using AI tools responsibly to support tasks such as research, drafting, or data review
  • Ability to learn new tools and adapt as technology evolves
  • Curiosity and openness to exploring new approaches

  • Must be legally entitled to work in the country where this role is located

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of a Post-Secondary Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experienced in Snaplogic and/or Java web services for integration between applications a plus
  • Academic or practical knowledge of Accounting and/or Financial concepts (i.e. planning, budgeting, forecasting, or consolidation) is preferred
  • Ability to function productively on multiple project teams simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently without any supervision
  • Experienced working in a high paced environment and ability to work effectively under pressure/stressful conditions to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team and interact effectively, including the ability to mentor and provide leadership to other team members
  • Ability to provide a level of effort estimates and to perform tasks within the estimated level of effort and schedule
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance data connections utilizing Integration Best Practices
  • Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Provide day to day support and technical expertise to other engineers, project owners and stakeholders
  • Provide strategy, architecture, design and automation options to increase efficiency and simplify integration across multiple platforms
  • Provide IT leadership by representing the integration team to IT and the business
  • Mentor other team members
  • Build real-time interfaces between systems
  • Design and build reliable processes.
  • Participate in developing integration strategy, architecture, and frameworks for the organization.
  • Create and enforce programming standards and techniques across the organization
  • Connect Prophix’s Cloud environment to the many other environments that our customers bring.
