Data Governance Services Specialist
About The Position
This role focuses on defining and implementing strategies, requirements, policies, and procedures to ensure the quality, security, and end-to-end availability of organizational data. The specialist will lead projects for digitizing governance services, develop processes with subject matter experts to address knowledge gaps and expand service offerings, and drive Data Maturity progression through Data Governance framework deliverables. The position involves collaborating with various business functions and product business units to streamline systems and processes, leading subject matter experts in data governance analytical thinking for improved planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, and supporting other domain owners through knowledge sharing. A key responsibility includes driving the support of Sales Master Data Management service activities and process coordination.
Requirements
- BS / BA with a concentration in Computer Science/ Analytics or related Business degree required.
- Minimum 5-8 years’ experience using business governance techniques, with deep professional know-how and experience in process engineering and implementation.
- Demonstrates and applies advanced knowledge of project management for data governance activities and curation of service offerings.
- Extensive experience with analyzing data and processes, developing solutions for solving complex business problems.
- Strong communication, training and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects/initiatives to implement and coordinate digitization efforts for governance services offered to Domain Data Management.
- Develop processes and procedures with subject matter experts where knowledge gaps exist and increase service offerings to close the identified gaps.
- Drive Data Maturity progression of the domain through Data Governance framework deliverables.
- Collaborate with multiple business functions and product business units subject matter experts across the enterprise to develop, streamline / improve existing and emerging systems and processes.
- Lead business function subject matter experts with data governance focused analytical thinking for improved planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
- Support other domain owners where applicable with knowledge sharing.
- Drive the support of Sales Master Data Management service activities and process coordination.
