Data Governance, Protection & Data Management (Role#32)
About The Position
Join a dynamic, collaborative team driving the migration and modernization of regulatory reporting applications for a leading financial services organization. As a core member of an Agile Scrum team, you will contribute to data governance, protection, and management solutions and support projects advancing regulatory reporting and the organization’s data platform capabilities. The role involves migrating regulatory reporting applications to a modern data platform; developing and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and ETL processes; supporting platform development, production operations, and automation; and collaborating with technology, QA, release management, and business stakeholders. You will deliver maintainable, well-tested code, respond to production issues as needed, identify delivery risks and blockers, and seek opportunities to improve operational workflows through automation.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, management, and governance.
- Hands-on expertise in Informatica, Oracle, Autosys, Python, PySpark, Hadoop, and Hive for large-scale data pipeline development and support.
- 3+ years of experience operating within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Jira, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Ansible, or similar platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Track record in regulatory reporting, banking, or financial services environments.
Nice To Haves
- Demonstrated ability to build CI/CD pipelines from the ground up.
- Proficiency with UNIX shell scripting.
- Previous experience with Bank of America enterprise systems, standards, and processes.
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end migration of regulatory reporting applications to a modern data platform, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines and ETL processes using Informatica, Oracle, Python, PySpark, Hadoop, and Hive.
- Support platform development, production operations, and automation initiatives to improve delivery efficiency and reduce manual work.
- Collaborate daily with the Scrum Master, technology leads, QA, release management, and business stakeholders to meet delivery goals.
- Identify blockers, escalate risks, and recommend solutions to keep projects on track.
- Deliver maintainable, well-tested code and provide urgent support for production issues as needed.
- Seek opportunities to automate processes and improve operational workflows.
