About The Position

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented AVP to join our Data Governance & Controls team within the Chief Data and Financial Operations Office. This role is central to delivering high-quality data solutions, dynamic reporting capabilities, and governance processes that enable leadership decision-making across the enterprise. The successful candidate brings a blend of analytical rigor and communication acumen, operating at the intersection of data management, analytics, and business enablement. They translate complex data into clear, actionable insights while approaching every initiative with stakeholder awareness and a focus on practical, people-centered execution.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in data management, reporting, analytics, or governance within a financial services or similarly regulated environment.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of data governance frameworks and metadata management platforms (e.g., Collibra).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify data discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and recommend remediation.
  • A sharp technical producer who takes ownership of deliverables from concept through production.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate strategy and data into practical, people-centered execution.
  • A personable, professional, and collaborative team player who is always willing to help further the collective goals of the team and the firm.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a drive to continuously improve processes, tools, and outcomes.
  • Comfort operating across both technical and business-facing environments, adapting style and depth to the audience.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with enterprise data platforms and SharePoint/Power Automate workflows.
  • Background in designing and delivering training programs, office hours, or enablement content for data tools and platforms.
  • Familiarity with BCBS 239, DMICF, or similar regulatory data management frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Dashboard Development & Reporting: Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that provide leadership and business stakeholders with centralized, consolidated views of key metrics across functional areas.
  • Deliver production-quality reporting solutions across a range of domains, working with stakeholders to identify needs and deliver solutions that empower the business.
  • Translate complex, multi-source data into streamlined, filterable views that improve transparency, surface trends, and enable faster, more informed decision-making — replacing information traditionally spread across multiple files and systems.
  • Perform data analysis across enterprise source systems to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring data integrity for downstream reporting.
  • Tableau Governance & Dynamic Reporting: Lead governance coordination for the Tableau migration and change request process within Collibra, including UAT validation, folder owner approvals, and promotion of dashboards from work-in-progress to production.
  • Train and guide business users and governance coordinators on Tableau change request workflows and governance protocols on the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP).
  • Ensure compliance with established governance standards for report naming, documentation, and approval chains.
  • Serve as a primary resource for training and guidance on Tableau server access, key data element lineage, and dashboard/reporting solutions across the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP).
  • Automation & Technical Enablement: Support and contribute to Strategic Solutions & Innovations (SSI) workstreams, including data-driven solutions for business lines.
  • Participate in technology enablement initiatives such as self-service analytics capabilities roll-outs and AI-agent development programs.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate data processes, improving scalability and reducing manual effort.
  • Data Literacy, Training & Stakeholder Engagement: Champion data literacy across the organization by leading office hours, training, and hands-on enablement sessions for colleagues at all levels.
  • Administer and maintain SharePoint sites for the Data Office, ensuring resources, documentation, and governance materials are current and accessible.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, deliver solutions, and ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, translating data insights into plain-language summaries for senior leadership.
  • Coordinate with Data Officers, Data Stewards, and platform teams to ensure data products meet quality and governance standards.
