About The Position

The Data Governance Architect must have experience in defining and implementing enterprise data governance frameworks that ensure data is trusted, secure, compliant, and fit for business use. This role bridges business and technology by establishing data standards, policies, and architectural patterns; embedding governance into data platforms and delivery initiatives; and partnering with data owners, stewards, and engineering teams to improve data quality, interoperability, and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Requirements

  • Must have solid understanding and demonstrable experience in retail apparel business, especially customer journey.
  • Must have a solid understanding and demonstrable experience in supply chain (retail supply chain is a Required).
  • Significant experience (10+ years) in the development and operationalization of data governance frameworks, operating models, and workflows.
  • Proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Software Engineering Leadership, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design.

Nice To Haves

  • Change Management experience a big plus.
  • Atlan, Alation, Google Cloud, Data Modeling, Wireframing and workflow development.

Responsibilities

  • Extensive experience in data architecture, data governance, or enterprise data management, with a demonstrated ability to design and operationalize governance frameworks at scale.
  • Proven background working across business and technology teams, translating business requirements into enforceable data standards and architectural patterns.
  • Facilitate stakeholders for requirements gathering and validation.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills with executives.
  • Talk to business stakeholders in business context without technology.
  • Take feedback and incorporate that into measurable improvement.
  • Take vague or unclear expectations and turn them into concepts and requirements.
  • Align disparate groups of stakeholders towards common framework by demonstrating value.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and problem solving.
