About The Position

Continental Properties is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to join its Data Management team at the home office in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. As the company expands AI-driven data access and self-service analytics, this hands-on role will help keep its data governed and trustworthy. The analyst will facilitate stewardship decisions, monitor data quality and governance health, and maintain the catalog, business glossary, and lineage so teams can confidently find and use data. The role is intended to grow alongside the company’s data and AI footprint.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in data governance, data management, business intelligence, or a closely related analytical role.
  • Hands-on experience in at least one governance area: data cataloging, business glossary or definitions, data lineage, or data stewardship.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and how data moves through modern data pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical data concepts to non-technical business stakeholders and influence without authority.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of initiatives, and drive them to completion with minimal oversight.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, and business teams.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the domain-based data stewardship model and support steward decisions on metric definitions, field ownership, and data quality standards as data and use cases emerge.
  • Monitor data quality and governance health, and triage exceptions and trends on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain and expand the data catalog, documenting datasets, tables, and fields with clear ownership, descriptions, and classifications.
  • Build and continually curate the business glossary with stakeholders, defining and standardizing business terms and metrics.
  • Document and validate data lineage across ingestion, transformation, and reporting layers, keeping it current as pipelines and models change.

Benefits

  • Paid professional memberships, certifications, and tuition reimbursement.
  • Mental health support, including eight free counseling sessions per year and access to additional wellness resources.
  • Generous vacation time, nine paid holidays, and Friday half-days during designated months.
  • Volunteer opportunities and community and company events.
  • Annual performance incentives through the Building Above and Beyond (BAAB) program.
  • Medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Flexible spending accounts.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Company-paid life and disability insurance.
  • Six weeks of paid parental leave, with up to 12 weeks of leave for birth mothers, and family-forming and fertility resources.
