About The Position

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to join the Merchandising Services Department. The position is based in either Pleasanton, CA or Boise, ID, with a requirement for onsite work Monday through Thursday to foster collaboration and engagement. Requirements

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenges
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills required
  • Must possess a strong sense of urgency and be able to multi-task.
  • Strong aptitude for technology and ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and tools.
  • Excellent customer service skills with reliable follow-through.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and shifting priorities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including active listening.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to apply logical steps to resolve moderately complex business issues.
  • Technical proficiency in data analysis and data manipulation within Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong working knowledge of Albertsons Companies’ systems preferred
  • Ability to run and modify SQL procedures (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve business and system problems and perform root cause analysis.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand the impact of data and process changes.
  • Collaborate with application support teams to resolve recurring or escalated issues.
  • Support project work, data readiness activities, and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
  • Work independently to address moderately complex business problems using incomplete or evolving information.
  • Apply logical, structured problem-solving approaches to identify risks, propose solutions, and evaluate options.
  • Participate in projects focused on systems, integration, or business process enhancements.
  • Provide daily operational support, including customer service support and troubleshooting business and system issues across multiple functional areas (merchandising, procurement, accounting, retail stores, and plants).
  • Manage data relationships and settings and implement changes to support business needs.
  • Execute work procedures while continuously driving toward greater independence in handling unique situations.
  • Analyze and interpret data to assess operational impacts and develop solutions based on business needs.
  • Create procedural documentation, process maps, test scripts, and user acceptance testing as required.
