About The Position

As a Data Governance Analyst, you will support various functions by responding to internal requests, analyzing data issues, and providing actionable insights. You will manage and prioritize incoming requests while troubleshooting and resolving data and privacy (data subject rights) related issues. You will collaborate cross-functionally to improve data processes and tools. You will conduct in-depth analysis, support key workflows, and help improve current processes and workflows. You will also document processes and contribute to ongoing Data Protection & Governance projects.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field, and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience
  • Experience in data governance, data analysis, and/or data subject rights and privacy operations
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and interpret data.
  • Experience using SQL or another querying language to analyze and validate data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Highly developed organizational skills and demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and produce high-quality, accurate work.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools to improve research, analysis, documentation, and operational efficiency while applying appropriate judgment and validating results.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, triage, prioritize, and resolve incoming Data Protection & Governance requests while providing timely support to end users.
  • Investigate and analyze data governance and privacy issues to identify root causes and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Indeed's data landscape, governance processes, data subject rights, and applicable privacy requirements.
  • Create and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and reports to support operational consistency, knowledge sharing, and informed decision making.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, legal, privacy, security, and business partners to support governance initiatives and resolve data-related questions.
  • Monitor governance processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend enhancements to workflows, documentation, and tooling.
  • Support Data Protection & Governance projects by completing deliverables, validating results, and communicating progress, risks, and next steps.
