  • Hands-on experience in at least one governance area: data cataloging, business glossary or definitions, data lineage, or data stewardship.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and how data moves through modern data pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical data concepts to non-technical business stakeholders and influence without authority.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of initiatives, and drive them to completion with minimal oversight.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, and business teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the domain-based data stewardship model and support steward decisions on metric definitions, field ownership, and data quality standards as data and use cases emerge.
  • Monitor data quality and governance health, triaging exceptions and trends on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain and expand the data catalog, documenting new datasets, tables, and fields with clear ownership, descriptions, and classifications.
  • Build and continuously curate the business glossary, working with stakeholders to define and standardize new business terms and metrics.
  • Document and validate data lineage across ingestion, transformation, and reporting layers, keeping lineage current as pipelines and models change.

Benefits

  • Tools, training, and opportunities for career growth.
  • Paid professional memberships, certifications, and tuition reimbursement.
  • Mental health support, including eight free counseling sessions per year and access to additional wellness resources.
  • Generous vacation time, nine paid holidays, and Friday half-days during designated months.
  • Informal gatherings, lunches, community and company events, volunteer opportunities, and social activities.
  • Annual incentive program based on company goals and achievements.
  • Medical, dental, and vision plans; flexible spending accounts; 401(k) with company match; and company-paid life and disability insurance.
  • Six weeks of paid parental leave and family-forming and fertility resources, including up to 12 weeks of leave for birth mothers.
