About The Position
Special Hiring Event at the Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller’s office featuring on the spot interviews! We are hiring Data Entry Clerks! (Multiple positions available | Full Time | On-the-job Training!) Ready to launch your career in the legal field? Our Criminal Services department is looking for detail-oriented data entry clerks to help create, update, and process criminal case records. This is a great opportunity to build foundational experience while contributing to meaningful work. If you thrive in a structured, fast-paced environment – then this exciting opportunity is for you. No legal experience? No problem. We’ll teach you everything you need to know. This position participates in the Pay Progression Program! You will be awarded a 7% increase to your base pay upon being deemed proficient in criminal data entry.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED), supplemented by three (3) years of recent and relevant experience that demonstrates the ability to accurately apply acute attention to detail in maintenance of detailed data, preferably in an automated systems environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation

- Some vocational or college courses preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs complex data entry for docketing functions; creates entry for each document; monitors image for quality and clarity; Adds and updates party/attorney information in the system; updates case status; Processes incoming work from e-Filing portal, scanned batches or scan to case; Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output; Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents; Assists customers in person and by phone.
