About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Assistant to support our finance and operations team on a part-time basis. This role is primarily focused on accurate data entry, report maintenance, and tracking order and shipment information. In addition to strong data entry skills, critical thinking is essential—you’ll be expected to identify discrepancies, ensure data accuracy, and follow tasks through to completion. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable working with structured data.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and missing information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to stay organized and manage recurring tasks independently
  • Reliable follow-through and basic communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous data entry or administrative experience
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify) or shipping/fulfillment systems
  • Experience working with structured reports or vendor data

Responsibilities

  • Input and maintain accurate data across reports, including order numbers, shipment dates, and order details
  • Assist in preparing monthly reports by matching Shopify order data with shipment dates
  • Download vendor reports and fill in missing data such as order numbers and shipment dates
  • Submit and monitor claims through fulfillment and shipping platforms, ensuring updates are recorded
  • Track disputes and forward them to the appropriate team for resolution
