Requirements

At least 5 years of industry experience as a data engineer or similar role.
High code quality and ability to guide others.
Experience in creating automated testing, applying design patterns, and other engineering best practices.
Expert in Python.
Fluency in SQL.
Developed maintainable data pipelines with Python and SQL.
Experience managing 3 or more people, accountable for their growth and success.
Excel at communicating to both technical and non-technical people, with an ability to explain complex concepts simply.
Able to contribute individually, outside of reports or team, balancing priorities between being a player (individual contributor) and a coach (manager or mentor).
Led several projects from idea generation to planning, execution, and delivery.
Working knowledge of how ML/AI applications are deployed and monitored.
Motivated to use ML/AI awareness to advance data-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and machine learning engineers to develop pipelines and ETL tasks in order to facilitate the extraction of insights.
Establish data architecture processes and practices that can be scheduled, automated, replicated and serve as standards for other teams to leverage.
Inform data team strategy by working with the product leaders and managers.
Actively participate in execution and some planning of organizational data team strategy.
Collaborate with Doximity’s Data Leadership team to ensure alignment and success across the entire Data Organization.
Manage individual Data Engineers to foster learning, growth and success at Doximity.
