About The Position

The Data Engineering Associate is responsible for providing entry level data engineering, automation, reporting, and cloud technology support. Under general supervision, collaborate with a team of experienced Data Engineers to help build, maintain, and optimize data workflows, security, visualizations, and automation solutions across the Azure-based analytics stack. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field; or relevant technical experience and certifications.
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of experience.
  • Foundational understanding of data structures, databases, and basic data analysis concepts.
  • Exposure to tools like Power BI, SQL, Python, or automation platforms through coursework, internships, or self-learning.
  • Strong analytical thinking and a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Basic experience with SQL (preferably Snowflake syntax) and/or Python.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Exposure to version control tools like Git.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and supporting Power Automate flows, including cloud and desktop flows, to improve business efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
  • Support Snowflake data warehousing initiatives, including Streamlit, data ingestion, transformation, and quality assurance.
  • Participate in Power BI report development by assisting with data modeling, visualization design, and dashboard publishing.
  • Collaborate with team members using Azure Synapse Integration Pipelines for ETL/ELT data movement and transformation processes.
  • Work with Databricks notebooks under guidance to explore data, generate insights, and support basic data science use cases.
  • Learn and apply data governance, privacy, and quality standards.
  • Assist in managing user access, permissions, and role assignments across the analytics platform (e.g., Power BI, Snowflake, Azure resources) in accordance with security and compliance guidelines.
  • Document processes, data flows, and automation logic for reusability and knowledge sharing.
  • Engage in code reviews, technical discussions, and collaborative problem-solving sessions.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
