Chiesi USA, based in Cary, NC, is seeking a Data Engineer to play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7-10 years of experience as a data engineer or a similar role.
Strong proficiency in SQL Server, SSIS, and Databricks.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational database management systems.
Knowledge of Master Data Management, data warehousing, data Lakehouse concepts, and ETL/ELT.
Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Blob Storage.
Experience with Power BI, or other reporting solutions.
Familiarity with PowerShell, PySpark, Python or other programming languages.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, technical local and international team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

Manage Data Integrations: Design, develop, and maintain reliable and scalable ETL/ELT processes, integrating structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources using SSIS and Databricks.
Monitor existing and new jobs and data pipelines.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
Optimize data workflows for high performance and scalability.
Implement data quality checks and ensure data integrity across various systems.
Support Projects: Design and implement scalable cloud-based or on-premises data solutions to support various business needs.
Design and implement SSIS packages and processes to support existing on-premises systems.
Create Power BI dashboards and paginated reports to support business users and reporting needs.
Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
Collaborate with the IT team to provide technical solutions and resolve issues.
Documentation: Maintain documentation for data processes and systems.
