About The Position

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will contribute to a variety of areas including: The development of our overall data platform Supporting internal and external customers with data related technical work, to include planning, documentation, and coding Interacting directly with customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical area (relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • 7 years of data engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Snowflake Data Cloud Platform, including complex queries and performance optimization within the Snowflake environment.
  • Experience with Data Loading, Data Transformation, Data Extraction, Sharing and Replication.
  • Experience with Security features, including access control, data masking and encryption.
  • Experience with Data modeling across disparate data sources with a variety of formats and structures.
  • Experience with Ontology development at a warehouse level.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, etc) for data processing and ETL scripting.
  • Passionate, smart, and articulate technologist.
  • Able to work independently based on high level instructions.
  • Possess a strong personal work ethic.
  • Desire to collaborate with a distributed team.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. National Security Clearance.
  • Able to support and teach others in areas of mastery.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with formal SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) procedures.
  • Experience with version control software and methodology, preferably Github.
