About The Position

The Data Engineer manages data integration processes to support client implementations, with responsibility for data mapping, validation, and go-live activities. The role emphasizes ownership, accountability, proactive client collaboration, and delivery excellence to ensure smooth and accurate data transitions. The Data Engineer may also support broader client-facing initiatives by providing guidance and support for successful delivery outcomes.

The position leads end-to-end data migration into the DealCloud platform, translating client requirements into technical integration and go-live solutions. It performs ETL work, validates and reconciles data, supports platform configuration, and leads quality assurance and testing. The role also contributes to project documentation, status reporting, escalation handling, requirements gathering, solution design, and post-go-live support.

Requirements

• Experience in professional services, consulting, or client-facing roles in a SaaS organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or related experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in ETL processes and tools, data integration, or technical delivery.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms or financial services technology.
• Proficiency in data manipulation using Excel, SQL, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of data structures, normalization, and mapping techniques.
• Ability to recognize simple data problems and assist in finding solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-first mindset.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to delivery.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with cloud-based platforms and APIs.
• Experience with DealCloud or a similar financial services platform.
• Knowledge of investment banking, private equity, or legal workflows.
• Exposure to Agile or iterative delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end migration of data into the DealCloud platform.
• Gather client data migration requirements and translate them into technical solutions for integration and go-live.
• Perform ETL tasks, including extracting data from client legacy platforms, transforming and mapping it, and loading it for client projects.
• Validate and reconcile client data to ensure accuracy and integrity during migration and go-live.
• Support platform configuration and data integration in alignment with DealCloud best practices.
• Lead quality assurance and testing to ensure successful deployment of client solutions.
• Participate in internal project management activities, including documentation, status reporting, and escalation handling.
• Serve as a secondary resource for client-facing initiatives such as requirements gathering, solution design, and post-go-live support.
