About The Position

The Data Engineer 2 Designs, builds, and maintains data processing architectures and solutions enabling the efficient conversion of structured and unstructured data to insights at enterprise scale. The Data Engineer 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. The Data Engineer 2 will design, build, test, deploy, and support data engineering solutions that enable the UD&AP Data Engineering practice to efficiently process and deliver trusted enterprise data at enterprise scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, data transformations, and data products using modern cloud-native technologies.
• Build reusable and maintainable solutions following software engineering best practices including source control, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of data models that support enterprise analytics and operational use cases.
• Participate in monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of production data workloads.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver platform capabilities and data solutions.
• Learn and apply Humana data standards, engineering practices, and healthcare data concepts.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, and documentation while maintaining engineering quality and security standards.
