About The Position

The client is leading a Digital Transformation across its Americas Division, modernizing technology, focusing on a data-driven approach, and planning for the future. This expansion has created a need for experienced software Data Engineers to support the design and development of a strategic data platform. These roles will be part of the Data Strategy team, working across Capital Markets, Nikko Securities, broker-dealer, and swap-dealer entities. The initial focus will be on establishing a reference data system for securities and pricing data, with subsequent expansion to other data domains. The team will adhere to internal development standards to contribute to the Data Strategy team's agenda. The implementation of this strategic platform will be on the Azure Cloud Platform.

Requirements

• Full stack Python/PySpark developer.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with experience in Azure cloud.
• Experience implementing solutions using Azure cloud services.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with Azure Lake Gen 2.
• Experience with Azure Databases.
• Experience with Azure Data Fabric.
• Experience with API Gateway management.
• Experience with Azure Functions.
• Well versed with Azure Databricks.
• Strong SQL skills with RDMS or noSQL databases.
• Experience with developing APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks in Python.
• Familiarity with the DevOps lifecycle (git, Jenkins, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes.
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in financial services industry.
• Experience with financial instruments, asset classes, and market data.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of a strategic data platform.
• Active development of the data platform in close coordination with the team.
• Establishment of a reference data system for securities and pricing data.
• Moving to other data domains after initial setup.
