About The Position

The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating data management systems for intelligence needs. This includes defining how data will be stored, accessed, used, integrated, and managed across various data regimes and digital systems. The role involves working with data users to create optimal data architectures and structures, and planning, designing, and optimizing data throughput and query performance. Additionally, the Data Engineer will participate in selecting, configuring, and utilizing backend database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, HPC, etc.) and optimizing the full data pipeline infrastructure to support data content, volume, ETL, and periodicity for intended queries and analysis, ensuring expected responsiveness.

Requirements

  • Requires direct experience performing detailed groundwork that turns AI concepts into a working reality.
  • At least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree +8 years of relevant experience or 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain DARTS workflows, templates, and routing procedures that support intelligence production and dissemination requirements.
  • Design and implement DARTS workflows that streamline intelligence product development, coordination, and dissemination processes.
  • Establish routing procedures and approval chains that ensure appropriate review and clearance of intelligence materials.
  • Utilize DARTS capabilities to track intelligence requirements, manage tasking processes, and monitor collection and analytical efforts.
  • Coordinate requirement prioritization and resource allocation across production elements.
  • Implement tracking mechanisms that provide visibility into requirement satisfaction and identify gaps requiring attention.
  • Utilize DARTS collaboration features to support cross-organizational intelligence production efforts and information sharing.
  • Design, implement, and operate data management systems for intelligence needs.
  • Design how data will be stored, accessed, used, integrated, and managed by different data regimes and digital systems.
  • Work with data users to determine, create, and populate optimal data architectures, structures, and systems.
  • Plan, design, and optimize data throughput and query performance.
  • Participate in the selection of backend database technologies (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, HPC, etc.), their configuration and utilization, and the optimization of the full data pipeline infrastructure to support the actual content, volume, ETL, and periodicity of data to support the intended kinds of queries and analysis to match expected responsiveness.
