Data Engineer, Mid
About The Position
Booz Allen is seeking a mid-level Data Engineer to support mission-driven projects by organizing and making disparate data meaningful. The role involves implementing data engineering activities and developing and deploying pipelines and platforms that enable clients to use big data for objectives such as fraud detection, cancer research, and national intelligence. You will work with and guide a multidisciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. The role includes analytical exploration and data examination, as well as assessing, designing, building, and maintaining scalable platforms for clients. The position is based in McLean, Virginia, with an additional location in Chantilly, Virginia, and is not remote. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
Requirements
- Experience with SQL, Java, or Python and Spark.
- Experience working with highly structured data.
- Ability to manipulate data across different tables.
- Knowledge of different data types and data sources.
- Knowledge of data modeling and how to make data usable for mission requirements.
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree.
