About The Position

This role involves working under general supervision to provide solutions to technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. The Data Engineer will interact with complex data and networking systems while adhering to strict organizational standards. They will also work and communicate effectively as part of a large, established team of cross-discipline individuals. Familiarity with Linux systems (Ubuntu/RHEL) and the ability to learn non-standard Unix-like OS (e.g., Dell OneFS, QTS, Cisco IOS) is required. Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and scripting languages like Bash and Batch is necessary for supporting the development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated scripts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 2-4 years of experience, or a Master's with 0-2 years of experience, or HS with 8-10 years of experience.
  • Experience in the management of unstructured and semi-structured data.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems (Ubuntu/RHEL).
  • Ability to learn how to work with non-standard OS that are “Unix-like” (e.g. Dell OneFS, QTS, Cisco IOS).
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and scripting languages like Bash and Batch.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to provision, configure, and set up network-accessible computers for integration and use within an existing data ecosystem.
  • Willingness and ability to become proficient in the use of existing sonar analysis tools and SDKs.
  • Active secret clearance.
