About The Position

The Data Engineer - Advanced designs, implements, and maintains complex data pipelines and architectures. The role works with large-scale data platforms, ensures data quality, and optimizes data flow and collection for cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include developing data models and documentation, gathering business and data requirements, building and securing batch and real-time pipelines, improving delivery and automation, integrating datasets for machine learning, applying platform and architecture standards, and mentoring Associate Data Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and document physical data models, data dictionaries, and data flow diagrams.
• Lead and participate in gathering complex business requirements by defining business problems and data requirements.
• Reinforce the value and use of data with business subject matter experts.
• Stay current with data engineering technologies and trends and apply them to improve existing data pipelines.
• Optimize data delivery and automate manual processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Assist data scientists in integrating diverse datasets for machine learning and deep learning models.
• Integrate standards for platforms and frameworks covering source code management, work-item and project tracking, DevOps, and enterprise architecture.
• Build large-scale batch and/or real-time data pipelines using data processing frameworks in cloud platforms and/or on-premises environments.
• Manage and secure the flow of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• Lead and mentor Associate Data Engineers, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
• Design and implement solutions for real-time data processing and streaming.
