About The Position

As a Data Engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll use your skills and experience to help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll develop and deploy the pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. Here, you’ll work with a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll sharpen your skills in analytical exploration and data examination while you support the assessment, design, development, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients.

Requirements

3+ years of experience within data engineering, ETL operations, pipeline development, or data integration
Experience with Databricks
Experience writing software in programming languages, including Python, SQL, R, Javascript, or C++
Experience with source control and collaboration software, including GitHub or Atlassian tools
Knowledge of relational and non-relational database technologies, including SQL or GraphQL
Knowledge of automation and scripting on Linux or Windows operating systems
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

Experience deploying analytics workloads on a platform as a service (PaaS) and software as a service (SaaS), including AWS EMR, Redshift, SageMaker, Databricks, SQL Data Warehouse, or Machine Learning service
Experience with distributed or parallel programming frameworks, including Apache Spark or NVIDIA CUDA
Experience with infrastructure as code frameworks and services, including Terraform or CloudFormation
Experience developing and presenting complex technical information for technical and non-technical audiences and senior leaders
Experience developing and deploying large-scale batch and stream analytics pipelines
Experience working with integrated groups comprised of customer success managers, infrastructure engineers, data scientists, and software engineers
Experience with DoD information systems
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
Cloud Development Certification, including AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Certification
Information Security Certification, including Security+ or CISSP Certification
