About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with a strong background in Informatica to join our dynamic team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes. This role requires a deep understanding of data integration and transformation, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Cloud.
  • Proficient in SQL and database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
  • Experience with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
  • Solid understanding of ETL processes and data integration techniques.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and perform data cleansing and transformation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
  • Proven experience with Informatica as a primary ETL tool.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Understanding of data governance and compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications in Informatica or related technologies are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using Informatica to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
  • Collaborate with data architects and analysts to understand data requirements and ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Optimize existing data pipelines for performance and scalability.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
  • Document data processes, workflows, and technical specifications.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to data engineering and Informatica.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Assist in the development of data governance and data management best practices.
