We are seeking a Data Engineer to join the Technical Information Solutions (TIS) Strategy and Commercial team within Global Service, fully on-site in Peoria, IL. The TIS team creates and delivers the technical parts and service information critical for the repair and service of products across our global dealer network — not a part gets sold nor a machine repaired without using the information this team manages. With over 200,000 users worldwide and 2 million page views every day, the systems this team supports are the backbone of dealer and customer product support operations. In this role, you will assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of business analytics data, identifying and interpreting trends and patterns to influence strategic and application development decisions. You will also have the opportunity to work with and directly influence our dealer network in their key service business decisions.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience required.
  • Associate’s degree in Computer Programming or a relevant field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • SQL fluency — able to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries across enterprise database environments.
  • Power BI or Tableau experience — end-to-end dashboard development including back-end data modeling and front-end visualization.
  • Data pipeline design and architecture, with experience using common ETL tools.
  • Technical writing and documentation experience.
  • Experience with common database and warehouse environments such as Snowflake, Azure, Oracle, DB2, or PostgreSQL.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects to deadline.

Nice To Haves

  • Python programming experience.
  • UX/UI experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, including report design, back-end development, data validation, front-end visualization, and publication with proper security credentials.
  • Provide back-end SQL, database, and ETL support for TIS analytics projects.
  • Work with business partners to understand data needs and devise the appropriate solution — whether a dashboard, a one-time report, an automated report, or another approach.
  • Collaborate with the analytics team to solve challenging data problems and independently manage projects to meet partner expectations and deadlines.
