About The Position

The Data Engineer at Knight Federal Solutions Inc will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining efficient data pipelines and architectures to support various business operations and decision-making processes. This role requires a strong understanding of data engineering principles and the ability to work with complex data sets to transform and integrate data from multiple sources. The ideal candidate will have a TS SCI with CI Poly clearance and a proven track record of leveraging data to drive business insights and efficiencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
• Proven track record of working with complex data systems and architectures.
• Experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Demonstrated experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Active TS SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in SQL and database management.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures such as databases and large-scale processing systems.
• Ensure data architecture supports business requirements and is scalable and sustainable.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to improve data quality and accessibility.
• Implement data collection, transformation, and storage strategies to optimize data flow and collection.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery.
• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
• Work with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies, maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve data engineering practices.
