About The Position

LMI is seeking an experienced and driven Vantage/Foundry Engineer to lead the development and implementation of impactful data solutions within the Palanir Foundry platform. In this role, you will architect and scale robust data pipelines while transforming raw data from authoritative Army sources into structured, actionable "Objects" within the Vantage/Foundry environment. You will provide strategic direction for leveraging these platforms to deliver key business insights, enhance data-driven decisions, and create scalable solutions within the Army Vantage ecosystem. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 5-7 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience in Palantir Foundry/Vantage, SQL, and advanced data analytics.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Shell Scripting.
• Expertise in optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines and database performance.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a technical team.
• Prior experience working in high-scale environments with structured/unstructured data.
• Must hold an Active Security Clearance [SECRET]
• Only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into web applications and identifying strategic AI use cases
• Familiarity with AI frameworks and APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, LangChain, or similar)
• Experience with advanced data visualization techniques and dashboarding tools
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning concepts
• Experience with Storybook for component development, documentation, and design system management
• Hands-on deployment experience across multiple environments/platforms
• Experience developing applications for classified data
• Experience integrating machine learning and analytical tools into production applications
• Knowledge of the Army software development process and its technologies
• Background working in strategic planning or consultant environments supporting government or DoD clients
• Proven track record of expanding technical scope or footprint with government customers
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Responsibilities

• In-depth knowledge of Palantir Foundry, including the tools, services, workflows, and ecosystem.
• Extensive experience in ETL/ELT processes, database storage, SQL/PySpark/Python programming languages, developing complex pipelines leveraging disparate data sources, and developing Ontology objects within Vantage.
• Experience building ontologies, pipelines, and/or experience building complex data pipelines leveraging technologies such as Pandas, Pyspark, and/or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud-based design/verification tools, Azure Data/AI stack (Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory), and Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, Java, SQL, TypeScript, React, and scripting for automation
• Familiarity with developing APIs in tools such as Express.JS, Flask, and/or Fast API.
• Skills in data science, statistical analysis, and visualization for process improvement and yield optimization
• Lead key architectural decisions for data processing, transformation, analysis, and delivery using the Vantage platform.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in data modeling, database development, and troubleshooting complex data challenge.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership, guiding less experienced engineers on best practices, architectural decisions, and skill development.

Benefits

• Target salary range: $83,426 - $144,890. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
