Data Engineer
About The Position
As a Data Engineer, you support data-driven decision-making by designing and implementing projects that consolidate data from various sources. The role focuses on making data accessible and user-friendly for routine and ad-hoc analysis. You collaborate with colleagues and clients to provide analysis tools, translate business requirements into technical solutions, assess client needs, and develop enterprise data solutions, modern data pipelines, and systems for metrics and monitoring. The role is based remotely in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. The stated salary range is $145,000 to $165,000 CAD, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to provide tools for routine and non-routine data analysis.
- Accelerate efforts by leveraging AI.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions using business acumen.
- Analyze current business practices, processes, and procedures to identify future opportunities.
- Assess client needs to create customized data design services.
- Provide support to business partners.
- Develop foundational components for evolving enterprise data solutions.
- Architect and construct modern data pipelines.
- Implement metrics and monitoring systems.
- Make independent decisions and provide guidance to peers.
- Create and promote technical best practices for modeling and report design.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
