About The Position

Guidehouse is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable and secure data pipelines that support mission-critical workflows. The Data Engineer will implement best practices for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, quality, and sustainment. They will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reliable, maintainable data engineering solutions, ensuring the long-term reliability, observability, and performance of production data systems. A key responsibility is developing and operating solutions within Databricks, consistent with mission platform operations. The role also includes producing documentation, diagrams, data models, and sustainment procedures, as well as supporting troubleshooting, optimization, and enhancements to production systems. The Data Engineer will work closely with cross-functional technical and mission teams to align engineering outputs with program goals.

Requirements

  • Secret clearance (active or ability to obtain).
  • Databricks experience is mandatory.
  • Strong skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines in cloud-native environments.
  • Understanding of data modeling, orchestration, automation, and quality frameworks.
  • Experience with DevOps practices supporting data engineering workflows.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with government stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting government or mission-critical data systems.
  • Familiarity with data lakehouse architecture patterns.
  • Experience with dashboarding or analytics tools supporting mission users.
  • Knowledge of cloud services supporting Databricks-based environments.

Responsibilities
