About The Position

Endurance Group is currently seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain the data pipelines, data models, and curated datasets that support brain health and human performance analysis. Working primarily in Databricks and DHA-aligned medical data environments, you will integrate sensor, assessment, and medical data into secure, reliable, analysis-ready data products. Your work will provide the technical backbone that enables the team to generate defensible metrics, reporting, and decision-support products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing solutions.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands on data engineering experience.
  • Secret security clearance

  • Experience with DHA or military medical data
  • Experience Azure data services
  • Experience with FHIR/HL7
  • Experience with Longitudinal time-series data
  • Experience with event-based performance datasets is highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Ingest and transform structured and semi-structured data from wearable sensors, DHA medical data sources, assessments, and operational systems.
  • Design and maintain lakehouse or warehouse structures, including raw, validated, and curated data layers.
  • Develop reusable datasets, feature tables, and standardized semantic definitions to support consistent reporting and analysis.
  • Implement automated monitoring, validation, exception handling, and reconciliation processes to improve pipeline reliability and data trustworthiness.
  • Partner with the Data Scientist to understand analytic requirements and optimize datasets for metrics, dashboards, longitudinal analysis, and reproducible workflows.
  • Document source-to-target mappings, business rules, metadata, transformation logic, and pipeline dependencies.
  • Apply data security, access control, and governance practices appropriate for sensitive health, biometric, and operational information.
  • Collaborate with the Sensor Integrator to define data handoff processes, device metadata requirements, and collection quality checks.
