Sr. Data Engineer
About The Position

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Five or more years of experience designing, developing, and supporting production data pipelines.
- Experience building data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence.
- Hands-on experience with Python Notebook, Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory.
- Strong Python and PySpark development experience.
- Experience integrating systems through REST and SOAP APIs.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server technologies including SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
- Experience using Git, Azure DevOps, or similar source control and DevOps platforms.
- Experience supporting data governance, data quality, and enterprise data management practices.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with data warehouses, data marts, lakehouses, or modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience developing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Experience with data observability, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of enterprise data architecture and master data management.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI or comparable analytics platforms.
- Experience working in utility, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and integration solutions.
- Design and support enterprise data platforms that enable analytics, reporting, and operational decision-making.
- Create reliable and efficient ETL/ELT processes using modern cloud and on-premises technologies.
- Develop data models and architectures that support business intelligence and enterprise reporting.
- Ensure the accuracy, performance, security, and maintainability of enterprise data solutions.
- Support data governance, metadata management, and data quality initiatives.
- Implement monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement practices that increase trust in enterprise data assets.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, architects, developers, and IT teams.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions and actionable data capabilities.
- Communicate complex technical concepts in ways that support business outcomes and informed decision-making.
- Evaluate new technologies, tools, and development approaches.
- Help modernize data platforms and improve operational efficiency through automation and innovation.
- Contribute to ATC’s evolving cloud and analytics strategy.
