About The Position

ARC Energy Services is seeking a Data Engineer to join its Technology team in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The role builds and maintains the data platform and internal applications used by recruiting, payroll, operations, and quality teams to staff projects, track time and pay, and maintain field-worker qualifications and compliance. It reports to the head of Technology. The work is roughly split between data engineering and internal application development. The data foundation includes pipelines, data models, and integrations with systems such as QuickBooks, Salesforce, and HR, recruiting, and payroll platforms, using Databricks and PostgreSQL in Microsoft Azure. The role also develops features for an internal web portal using TypeScript and React; application development experience is a plus, and training will be provided. The Data Engineer works directly with colleagues who use the systems, takes ownership of systems relied on across the company, and uses AI coding assistants as part of daily development. The role requires reviewing, testing, and verifying work before it is released. The position follows a hybrid schedule, with regular in-office days at the Rock Hill office and remote work the rest of the week.
