About The Position

Armison Tech is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a mission-critical and fast-paced team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing large amounts of images, extracting and enriching metadata, and displaying resulting data in meaningful ways for other key stakeholders and teams. You will utilize a mix of COTS and custom-made tools and technologies, as well as build integrations within a variety of internal and external partner applications. This position is located in McLean, VA, within an on-site client environment and requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.

Requirements

• Must maintain active/current TS/SCI with a polygraph clearance.
• Demonstrated experience building production data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows at scale.
• Experience with Apache Spark and PySpark for distributed data processing.
• Demonstrated experience with advanced Python programming skills including data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy) and data engineering best practices.
• Demonstrated experience understanding data security, privacy, governance, and compliance.
• Experience with containerization such as Docker, or Podman, and deploying data applications in cloud environments.
• Demonstrated experience with AWS services (in particular S3, Lambda, and Step Functions).
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL in production environments, including performance tuning and schema design.
