About The Position

Flexion is looking for a Data Engineer for an enterprise-level application development project. In this role, you must possess excellent problem-solving skills and deep technical knowledge, with a strong aptitude for understanding the focus, scope, and impact of your work in a broader, forward-looking software landscape. We are looking for a Data Engineer particularly strong on the backend. Working closely with business and technical stakeholders, you will deliver scalable, high-performance data solutions that support operational systems, reporting, analytics, and decision-making. You will also drive automation, monitor data platform health, and support the modernization and continuous improvement of data systems. You must possess excellent problem-solving skills and technical knowledge with a strong aptitude for appreciating the focus, scope, and impact of your work in a much wider and forward-looking software landscape.

Requirements

5+ years of Development experience
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
Expertise in SQL and one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).
Experience designing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
Strong knowledge of relational, NoSQL, and cloud-native databases.
Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and modern data services.
Knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, and lakehouse architectures.
Experience implementing data quality, governance, security, and metadata management.
Performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of large-scale data systems.
Databricks experience
Experience with Test Driven Development, automated unit testing, and end-to-end testing
Superb time-management, communication, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
