About The Position

We are seeking an experienced data professional to support a DISA Data Management and Governance program. The individual will support a combination of data management, stakeholder engagement, business analysis, and emerging AI-enabled activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and communication skills along with hands-on experience working with Cloud-based data, ETL/data integration processes, and modern AI capabilities. Particular emphasis will be placed on the ability to apply generative AI and prompt-engineering techniques to improve data-management processes, analysis, documentation, knowledge discovery, and program delivery. The position will also support stakeholder engagement activities, including gathering and analyzing requirements, facilitating discussions with Government and technical stakeholders, documenting business and data needs, tracking actions and decisions, and translating stakeholder requirements into actionable technical or programmatic activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in data management, data warehousing, data engineering, analytics, business analysis, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience working with enterprise data environments, including data integration, transformation, ETL/ELT, data quality, or data governance activities.
  • Strong experience analyzing business and technical requirements and translating them into actionable solutions or recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with Government, technical, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop clear documentation, presentations, requirements, meeting artifacts, and executive-level summaries.
  • Experience using or supporting generative AI technologies and prompt engineering, including developing effective prompts and applying AI tools to analytical, data-management, or business-process use cases.
  • Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple priorities in a Government contracting environment.
  • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Background as a Cloud-based Data Scientist, Data Engineer, ETL Engineer, Data Warehousing Specialist, or similar technical data role.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, data profiling, data transformation, analytics, or machine-learning/data-science techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, AI-assisted analytics, or application of large language models to enterprise data-management challenges.
  • Experience supporting data governance, data quality, metadata management, data architecture, or data strategy initiatives.
  • Previous experience functioning as a Business Analyst or supporting stakeholder-engagement workstreams.
  • Prior DISA, DoD, or Federal Government experience.
  • Familiarity with DoD data-management and cybersecurity environments.
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite at Fort Meade, Maryland, as program needs require.
