About The Position

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location. This role is responsible for carrying out engineering tasks to deliver an advanced visual analytic application. This includes developing data analytics for desktop and web-developed visual analytic software, facilitating the bulk analysis of relational information utilizing advanced graphics, visualization, and high-performance computing, as well as using specified open source, COTS, and GOTS technologies. The engineer will establish an application that produces manageable, actionable intelligence from streams of structured and semi-structured data. The role also involves designing strategies for enterprise database systems and setting standards for operations, programming, and security, as well as designing and constructing large relational databases, integrating new systems with existing warehouse structure, and refining system performance and functionality.

8 years of experience as Senior Data Engineer
10 years of experience as SME
Java
Perl
Python
PL/SQL
Familiar with Postgres
AWS
5 to 7 years of ETL experience
Spark / Scala
SQL / PLSQL
Linux
Good understanding of data pipelines
Must be a U.S. Citizen
An active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI/CI poly is required to perform this work.
Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI/CI poly upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
Bachelor Degree in related field or in lieu of degree and 8 years of experience
