About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Data Engineer position for our client. This role involves developing and supporting data applications, APIs, web services, and microservices. The Data Engineer will design, develop, test, debug, and maintain complex Python applications, build REST APIs using FastAPI, and integrate relational databases. The position also requires supporting CI/CD workflows, version control, and modern data platform technologies.

Requirements

• Hands-on Data Engineering/Application Development experience.
• Strong Python development and API architecture experience.
• Experience with unit testing, databases, Git, and CI/CD.
• Python, FastAPI, PyTest
• MS SQL or relational databases
• REST API, Web Services, Microservices
• Git and GitLab/CI/CD
• Kafka, containerization, OpenShift/Kubernetes
• Analytics, NLP, and big data technologies
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Nice To Haves

• Insurance industry experience preferred.
