Data Engineer

ARB InteractiveMiami, FL

About The Position

We are ARB Interactive, the team behind Modo Casino, one of the top Social+ platforms in the US. Founded in 2022, we've grown to nearly 200 team members and were named one of LinkedIn's 2025 Top 50 Startups in the United States. We move fast, think big, and love bold ideas that push boundaries (and buttons). From new rewards to fresh game mechanics, every challenge is a chance to innovate and have fun doing it. Our culture is collaborative, curious, and full of laughter because great ideas grow best between coffee, code, and a few epic high-fives. We're looking for a Data Engineer to join our growing data team and help build the foundation of our modern data stack. This is a hands-on role where you'll work alongside senior engineers and analysts to design reliable pipelines, model clean datasets, and make data more accessible across the business. At a company our size, you won't be given a narrow slice of the stack. You'll work across the full data lifecycle, contribute to tooling decisions, and build relationships with every function that relies on data. This is a great fit if you're eager to deepen your craft, move fast, take ownership of meaningful work, and grow in an environment that values good engineering and real-world impact.

Requirements

  • 1–4 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related role
  • Solid SQL skills and working knowledge of Python
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and how data flows through a modern stack
  • Some hands-on experience with tools like dbt, Airflow, Terraform, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
  • Experience with data platforms in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • A curiosity-driven mindset — you ask questions, dig into problems, and enjoy figuring things out
  • Good communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally
  • Willingness to take ownership of tasks and follow through

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in gaming, entertainment, or high-volume consumer applications
  • Familiarity with event tracking platforms like Segment or Amplitude

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that move and transform data reliably across our stack
  • Model clean, well-documented datasets to support analytics, reporting, and experimentation
  • Collaborate with data analysts and product teams to improve data quality and accessibility
  • Contribute to data quality monitoring and alerting to catch issues early
  • Help instrument new product features and events alongside engineering and product teams
  • Write readable, tested, well-documented SQL and Python code
  • Participate in code reviews, give and receive constructive feedback
  • Learn from senior engineers and contribute ideas to how we build and scale our data infrastructure
