About The Position

The Data Engineer position is responsible for defining, developing and maintaining the modernization of TruStone Financial Credit Union’s data architecture, ETL processes, and data solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in a Data Engineering role that includes all of the following: Data analysis, data profiling, and data engineering.
  • Design or development of enterprise data solutions, applications, and integrations.
  • Developing ELT and ETL solutions on premise and in the Cloud.
  • Developing with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Working with Data warehousing methodologies and data/dimensional modelling concepts.
  • Working with Master Data Management systems.
  • Working with and building Relational Database Management Systems.
  • Working with structured and unstructured data.
  • Two or more years of experience in building and supporting Cloud data warehouse/data lake architecture on Azure/AWS.
  • Ability to reason through logic problems and apply creative thinking.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and analyze data very quickly.
  • Strong verbal and written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Maintains awareness of enterprise compliance requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA/AML) obligations, and follows internal policies and escalation protocols as applicable.
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment drug test and various background checks.
  • Responsible for regular and reliable attendance at the workplace.

  • With programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, PowerShell.
  • With data streaming platforms such as Kafka.
  • With ITIL4 foundations or higher certification.
  • With agile, lean, scrum, DEVOPS, DATAOPS, and scaled agile framework (SAFe) methodologies.
  • In designing and developing document databases such as MongoDB.
  • In designing and developing Graph databases.
  • Building and supporting a microservice architecture.
