About The Position

As a Data Engineer, you will work hands-on with challenging data engineering, data management, and analytics projects. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, business users, and IT teams to design, implement, and deploy data services and analytics.

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a corporate setting in the data engineering field
• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or comparable academic discipline
• Expertise in Databricks
• Advanced SQL skills
• Hands on experience with Data Marts, Data Warehouses and Medallion Architecture
• Experience in Spark-based data processing
• Proficient in the use of open-source tools, cloud computing, machine learning, and data visualization
• Cloud experience: Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Experience improving code performance and query optimization on legacy databases and Spark
• Ability to communicate with executives and external clients on initiatives
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts
• Acceptable candidates must successfully pass a drug test and background screen

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines
• Database design and principles
• Data modeling, schema development, and data-centric documentation
• Recommend and advise on optimal data models for data ingestion, integration, and visualization
• Use Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) concepts to engineer a standardized data environment
