About The Position

Booz Allen is seeking a Data Engineer to help troubleshoot and resolve complex data engineering and software development problems. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, scalability, and security of critical production systems and platforms. As a Data Engineer on our team, you’ll be working with a collaborative Kanban data team to manage Tier 3 requests and help build and maintain Cloud software and infrastructure that supports the enterprise. You will implement continuous integration and deployment into development, testing, and production environments. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like Agile development, Cloud-based development, and containerization. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in operations support, systems administration, data operations, or technical support
  • Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues across applications, infrastructure, or data environments
  • Experience designing, developing, and tuning complex data ingestion, routing, and transformation workflows using data flow management tools
  • Knowledge of data platforms, databases, ETL or data flow processes, and system monitoring tools
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize operational issues, and respond effectively in high-tempo environments
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in a CS or Engineering field
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ Certification within 6 months of hire date

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in secure, regulated, or classified environments
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, or related orchestration tools
  • Experience designing and implementing real-time data and streaming architectures using Apache Kafka
  • Experience extending Apache NiFi by writing custom processors, controller services, and utilities using Java
  • Knowledge of AWS services, including RDS and S3
  • Possession of strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Possession of strong written and verbal communication skills
