About The Position

As a senior Data Engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll use your expertise to lead data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll oversee the development and deployment of pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. Here, you’ll guide and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll use your expertise in analytical exploration and data examination while you oversee the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients. In this role, you will also support code environments using Python and SQL, translating and modernizing analytics workflows across platforms. You’ll lead the development of shared libraries and modular code repositories, ensuring maintainability and consistency across enterprise teams. Your experience with Palantir Foundry will be critical as you collaborate on onboarding programs to the platform and drive adoption through training, integration, and architecture support. This position is located in Atlanta, GA.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, owning, and maintaining end-to-end production data pipelines
  • 5+ years of experience with data architecture, including schema design, Medallion architecture, partitioning strategies, and performance optimization
  • 5+ years of experience collaborating with business stakeholders, gathering requirements, and delivering technical presentations to technical and non-technical audiences
  • 3+ years of experience with PySpark, SQL, distributed data processing in either Palantir or Databricks
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, or cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience supervising others and leading deliverables in cross-functional environments
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering and app services using Azure DevOps or equivalent tooling
  • Experience with Generative AI, including RAG, LLMs, and embedding models, and delivering AI-driven business solutions
  • Experience implementing data quality, observability, monitoring, data security, and enterprise data governance
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, DevOps, and DataOPs practices
