About The Position

As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll use your expertise to help build advanced technology solutions and lead data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll guide data engineering activities by overseeing the development and deployment of pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. Here, you’ll mentor a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll use your expertise in analytical exploration and data examination while you oversee the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in application development, data engineering, or data science
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex data applications at enterprise scale
  • 3+ years of experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data using tools or languages such as Python, SQL, or TypeScript
  • 3+ years of experience with building scalable ETL and ELT workflows for reporting and analytics
  • Experience creating solutions within a collaborative and cross-functional team environment
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Full-stack application development
  • Experience with Palantir tools, such as Foundry
  • Experience with Department of War datasets and data standards
  • Experience with distributed data or computing tools, including Spark, Databricks, or pipeline data science tools, such as Alteryx
  • Experience working on real-time data and streaming applications
  • Experience with data warehousing using AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, or Snowflake
  • Experience with Agile engineering practices

Responsibilities
