About The Position

Provide the government customer information technology (IT) services and technical expertise to support a thoughtful transition from team-level Scrum agile methodology to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The Contractor will support both the operational transition and ongoing development activities, ensuring continuity of delivery while establishing SAFe practices, structures, and governance. Additional information about the SAFe framework can be found at SAFe 6.0 (scaledagileframework.com). In addition, we will assist the government customer with the design, architecture and implementation of a secure application development environment (ADV) specifically engineered to accelerate the organization’s SAFe transformation. This environment must integrate automated security controls directly into the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and prioritize developer productivity and autonomy. Furthermore, the ADV must enable Zero Trust architecture that scales across distributed teams without compromising the Lean-Agile mindset. Location: This position will be on-site in Winchester, VA. Clearance: Top Secret with ability to get SCI We are seeking a Data Engineer – Senior responsible for carrying out engineering tasks to deliver an advanced visual analytic application to include: developing data analytics for desktop and web-developed visual analytic software; facilitating the bulk analysis of relational information utilizing advanced graphics, visualization, and high-performance computing, as well as using the specified open source, COTS, and GOTS technologies; and establishing an application that produces manageable, actionable intelligence from streams of a structured and semi-structured data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years or more of experience
  • Strong experience developing data analytics solutions for complex datasets.
  • Ability to work with structured and semi‑structured data, including relational data models.
  • Experience performing bulk or large‑scale data analysis across interconnected data sources.
  • Proven experience developing visual analytic applications or dashboards.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced visualization techniques, including graphs, relational views, and interactive analytics.
  • Experience building visual analytics for web‑based and/or desktop applications.
  • Experience working with open‑source, COTS, and GOTS technologies within a production environment.
  • Ability to integrate multiple tools and platforms into a cohesive analytic application.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing analytic software using modern programming languages commonly used in analytics and visualization (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar).
  • Ability to design, develop, and enhance analytic applications from concept through deployment.
  • Experience integrating analytics into end‑user applications.
  • Familiarity with high‑performance computing concepts or performance‑optimized analytic processing.
  • Ability to design analytics that scale to large datasets and high‑volume data streams.
  • Experience working with data streaming technologies or message‑based data ingestion.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver an advanced visual analytics application that enables users to derive actionable intelligence from large volumes of structured and semi‑structured data.
  • Design and implement data analytics supporting both desktop‑based and web‑based visual analytic software.
  • Enable bulk analysis of relational data using advanced graphical representations and visualization techniques.
  • Apply advanced graphics, visualization methods, and high‑performance computing techniques to support scalable analytic processing.
  • Integrate and utilize open‑source, Commercial Off‑the‑Shelf (COTS), and Government Off‑the‑Shelf (GOTS) technologies as part of the analytic solution.
  • Establish analytic workflows and application capabilities that transform raw data streams into manageable, decision‑ready intelligence products.
  • Support ingestion, processing, and visualization of streaming and batch data sources.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure analytic outputs align with mission needs and operational use cases.
