This position is ineligible for employment Visa sponsorship. Overall Purpose Technical expert responsible for building data science tools/infrastructure. Essential Functions Write data infrastructure & analytics software tools for Data Science. Mentor and train interns. Guide Data Scientists on best practices in software engineering. Collaborate with analytics leadership and engineers from other parts of EW on architectural and software enhancements to the Data Science platform. Collaborate with Data Science leadership on improving ETL and cluster computing. Supporting the company’s commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data

Requirements

  • Education and experience typically obtain through a Bachelor’s degree
  • Typically has 2-4 years of demonstrated progressive work experience in the following areas
  • Spark
  • Software/data engineering in Python
  • Machine Learning toolkits in Python/R
  • Building reusable frameworks for data ingestion and storage in Hadoop or AWS/S3
  • Relational databases, optimizing/tuning queries, indexing, partitioning, etc.
  • Experience collaborating with internal engineering & technology teams within a company on building data infrastructure in a regulated, enterprise environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Background and drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • Prior demonstrated experience 2-4 years
  • Pyspark and Scala experience
  • Fin-tech experience

Responsibilities
