Data Engineer - I (REMOTE)
About The Position
VARITE is looking for a qualified Data Engineer - I (REMOTE). The client is a central banking system of the United States that manages monetary policy, regulates financial institutions, provides banking services, and acts as a lender of last resort during financial crises. This is a 12-month remote role with a pay rate of USD 55.58 /hr. - USD 86.22 /hr. on W2. The role involves analyzing and investigating data, generating dashboards and reports using Tableau, participating in web development, and partnering with business lines to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional work experience
- Extensive experience building visualizations and dashboards to help effectively tell a story behind the data
- Experience working on the UI using Javascript, HTML, CSS
- Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight or similar reporting tools
- Knowledge of information design principles and data visualization methods
- Robust portfolio outlining your work and previous projects
- Extensive problem-solving experience and self-starter attitude
Nice To Haves
- Quick to learn new data visualization tools like Looker, Einstein Analytics etc.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, development, validation of emerging and ongoing metrics, reports, analysis, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions using Tableau as your primary data visualization tool
- Design and develop intuitive dashboards and data visualization products using Tableau and any other business intelligence tools in future.
- Quick to learn new data visualization tools like Looker, Einstein Analytics etc. to analyze results, evaluate performance, and project future trends and needs.
- Champion processes and procedures across the organization
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements to ensure solutions meet business needs
- Explore, extract, cleanse and combine data from multiple sources and systems
- Continually improve data quality, build monitoring tools and issue alerts
- Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements, design and execute a solution end to end as well as investigate new technologies to improve data pipelines
- Lead dashboard demo sessions, develop training materials and produce dashboard documentation
