About The Position

The research data specialist will support the Breast Oncology clinical research program in the area of data collection. Duties include the examination and evaluation of medical records; the abstraction and recording of pertinent medical information; and the monitoring of patient status. The research data specialist will be responsible for the collection and quality assurance review of patient clinical data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1-3 years related work experience required.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills required
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be Detail oriented
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize workload
  • Must practice discretion and always adhere to institutional confidentiality guidelines
  • Must have computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of medical terminology and/or experience in medical record review.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reviewing and abstracting the medical records for research patients
  • Entering identified clinical data points into the corresponding database. Ensuring the quality and completeness of the data entered.
  • Ensuring that data is entered within the outlined timelines
