About The Position

Join our dynamic team to design and build Data Conversion solutions as part of a large scale transformation and modernization effort for a large U.S. Federal agency. You'll take on mission critical Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes for high volumes of financial data. We design and build SQL/PLSQL scripts in a file and database centric environment working closely with Federal Financial Subject Matter Experts and seasoned software engineers with deep federal financial data conversion experience. Requirements

  • 1-4 years of experience with Oracle SQL
  • Proficient with Git
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Strong communication skills and working with multiple teams and service organizations
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Self driven, bringing curiosity, flexibility, and a strong desire to learn

Nice To Haves

  • Performance tuning SQL
  • Experience with GAAP, the federal financial domain and/or federal financial ERP solutions
  • Experience with Unix/bash scripting
  • Experience with Alteryx
  • Experience building reusable frameworks
  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes

  • Experience with EBCDIC character set

Responsibilities

  • Designing, building, testing and maintaining conversion software solutions using SQL/PLSQL and software development tools in an Oracle database environment.
  • Working closely with SMEs to interpret Data Conversion requirements and translate to software solutions.
  • Performing intense data analysis, troubleshooting issues, and developing corrective actions.
  • Working with the client and multiple consulting firms supporting complex enterprise level initiatives.
  • Participating in technical meetings with client technical and functional specialists and stakeholders.
  • Providing support for downstream testing efforts and defect resolution.
  • Participating in an Agile process.
  • Creating and maintaining conversion design documents and related documentation.
