About The Position

Stratagen is seeking a Data Connections Specialist to support a federal program within the FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division. The Data Connections Specialist will implement, support, and maintain web service user and data connections, as well as secure file transfer connections. The role will support internal and external customers with identifying, authenticating, and authorizing individuals and groups for access to applications, systems, and networks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting secure data connections, web services, certificates, encryption, identity and access management technologies, and application integrations. The position requires strong technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to support production environments and resolve complex connection and authentication issues.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with HTTP/HTTPS, RESTful web services, SOAP web services, APIs, WSDL, WADL.
Experience with application integration and deployment.
Hands-on experience with Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), XML file transfers, secure data connections, data connection configuration and troubleshooting.
Experience with thin client executable code utilizing SFTP.
Experience with secure folder creation and management.
Hands-on experience with user identification, authentication, and authorization.
Experience with user rights and access restrictions.
Experience with privilege and identity management.
Experience with digital identity administration.
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
Experience with Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
Hands-on experience with Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), security certificates, encryption technologies, Java KeyStore (JKS).
Experience with encryption key generation and management.
Experience with secure connection establishment and testing.
Experience with XML, JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), JavaScript, APIs.
Experience with thin client executable code.
Experience with PuTTYgen, Windows Secure Copy, OpenSSH Keys.
Experience with SFTP client and server technologies.
Experience with production troubleshooting.
Experience with application deployment.
Experience with web service configuration.
Experience with certificate installation and maintenance.
Experience with authentication and authorization troubleshooting.
Experience with data connection testing and validation.
Experience with technical documentation.
An active DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Implement, configure, support, and maintain web service user and data connections.
Create, maintain, and troubleshoot Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) connections.
Configure and support SFTP connections used to securely transfer XML files.
Support internal and external customers with identifying, authenticating, and authorizing users and groups.
Manage user rights, access restrictions, and permissions for applications, systems, and networks.
Administer digital user identities and associated access rights.
Apply identity and privilege management concepts to control access to specified resources.
Install, configure, and maintain security certificates and encryption technologies.
Troubleshoot production connection, authentication, encryption, and application integration issues.
Deploy and support applications using WSDLs, WADLs, SAML, JKS, and APIs.
Configure and troubleshoot web services using HTTP/HTTPS, REST, and SOAP.
Work with XML, JSON, and API-based integrations.
Support federation technologies and identity services.
Configure and troubleshoot connections involving LDAP, PKI, and Microsoft Active Directory.
Generate and manage encryption keys and support secure connection establishment and testing.
Create and maintain secure folders and data transfer configurations.
Use tools such as PuTTYgen, Windows Secure Copy, and OpenSSH keys to establish and troubleshoot secure connections.
Troubleshoot data transfer, authentication, certificate, encryption, and connectivity issues.
Support application deployments and production implementations.
Document connection configurations, troubleshooting activities, and technical procedures.
Follow applicable security policies, regulations, standards, and program requirements.
